6th February, Teachers Go Free at Old Macdonald’s Farm

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Each year hundreds of school children visit our farm as part of organised outings and we always try to provide the best possible service to them. We aim in particular at Primary age children but welcome groups of all ages. We realise that 2011 is going to be a difficult year with budgets and so want to help to ensure that these all important opportunities to see farm animals and our more exotic creatures is not lost, and to discuss Bio Diversity and Climate Change, as well as to have a great day out! So we are trying to do more for schools than ever before.

School teachers, and their families, are always welcome to visit Old Macdonald’s Farm in Brentwood Free of Charge if they are considering a school visit. All they need do is contact us in advance on info@omdfarm.co.uk with details on their school and we will send out an invitation to attend.

That is why we have a special day for all teachers and families scheduled for February 6th when we will be launching our 2011 educational programme and this would be a great time for teachers to come and meet us and talk through the ideas they have for us and ways in which we can provide a better service.

So all teachers, even if they are not at this time planning a trip here, should contact us at once and let us know if they want to come on 6th February and help us find ways to provide a better service for local schools.
